At the
Academy, we wish to establish a Conservatoire of the Arts, where all the arts can be
studied, researched, practised, assimilated, conserved and performed. The Academy is set
to become a centre of excellence for the training of students, teachers and adults.
This, in effect, means that the Academy is soon to be a major resource centre in the Arts
- providing such resources as a garderobe, audio-visual material, studio facilities as
well as performance resources.
The Academy is career orientated in its approach to educational outcomes.
We maintain a high standard of academics and artistic expression, thus facilitating the
exposure of the general public to the latest trends in the Arts. The Academy encourages
inter-disciplinary co-operation between art forms, and strives towards local, continental
and international cultural exchange. We develop a sense of scholarship and pride in the
diversities of art. Hand in hand with artistic skills, we also strive to develop
technical, financial, administrative and managerial knowledge in terms of a vocation in
the Arts. Finally, we strive to develop informed audiences. |
